A few years ago, I bought three cones of silk yarn, planning to use it to make a wedding present for some dear friends. I ended up making them something else, and the silk yarn ended up sitting in the closet for a long time. Now I'm using it to crochet a blanket composed of these small hexagon blocks that I found in a crochet book from Japan. It's probably going to be my first dyeing project, too.
