There is a magnificent Magnolia tree in the garden at Greenwich House Pottery. Every year we wait with anticipation for its huge blooms. This winter has been brutal in New York and during one of the big snowstorms the top third of the tree snapped. I took a few cuttings home to try to propagate them using rooting hormone. A couple of months later and one of the little cuttings has sprouted beautiful spring green leaves.
